Mohamed Salah has had a scan on his damaged shoulder and hopes to be fit to play in the World Cup.
Footballer of the Year Salah was injured in the 26th minute of Saturday’s 3-1 Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.
The
Egypt striker was assessed after returning to Merseyside on Sunday and
the damage, according to the Egyptian medical team, appears to be a
sprain and not a dislocation. The recovery time is between 10 days and
three weeks.

hope he will be able to face Uruguay in their opening match on June 15.
Salah said: ‘I am a fighter. Despite the odds, I hope I’ll be in Russia
to make you all proud.’
Salah was injured after being thrown to the ground by Sergio Ramos. On Sunday, more than 223,000 fans had signed a petition for UEFA and FIFA to punish Madrid skipper Ramos for ‘intentionally hurting Mo Salah’.
