Manchester United are preparing to offload Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the summer transfer window to make way for the signing of Mesut Ozil from Arsenal, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils are ready to end Mkhitaryan’s Manchester United career after his drastic drop in form this season.
The same report claims that Jose Mourinho is keen to bring Ozil to Old Trafford this summer but it is suggested that the Red Devils boss must first “trim” his squad.
That means that Mkhitaryan could be sold to make space for Ozil in Mourinho’s squad at Old Trafford.
Ozil is out of contract at Arsenal in the summer and he appears to be no closer to signing a new deal with the north London side.
The same story says that the Gunners have offered Ozil a new deal worth as much as £275,000 a week, but the playmaker has not yet put pen to paper with the north London side.
Mourinho and Ozil know each other well, having worked together at Real Madrid before the Germany international signed for Arsenal from the Spanish side back in 2013.
Ozil helped Arsenal to win the FA Cup for the third time in four years last season.
